Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a county-wide program in which students in 4th and 5th grades can choose to take part in. Students read as many of the books on the list as they can between June-March, completing a book review/report for each. At M.M. Pierce, the Battle of the Books club members (those participating in the reading, completing reviews on their own time) begin meeting together in December. Meetings run from December through March, once a week.
